HistoryThis is undoubtedly one of the finest Classic Motor Yachts on the market. With 2 very well maintained diesel engines (very low hours), and benefitting from an experienced and fastidious owner, you will not find a better boat in this price bracket. FULLY refurbished throughout to better than new specification. Please view to fully appreciate the quality of this vessel. The present owner bought this boat in 1982, and over the next 4 years it was completely refurbished and fitted with two new 180hp Ford Sabre turbo diesels. When the vessel was re-engined it also had new shafts, rudders, props etc. The hull was completely stripped inside and out. New planks were fitted both inside and out where required prior to the inside being treated and filleted in epoxy with the West system. During the replacement of some outside planking the hull was extended to incorporate a bathing platform within the hull structure. This also included the construction and fitting of a new laminated keel. The outside was then treated and encapsulated with the West system. The wheelhouse is a new construction with the old fibreglass roof fitted. The windows were also all replaced with new units, throughout the vessel.
ConstructionConstruction Double diagonal mahogany planking fully encapsulated with West System epoxy. This system gives the beauty and strength of wooden construction, with the benefit of low maintenance. The entire boat is in superb condition, and is a credit to her present craftsman owner.

This vessel is now looking for a new owner, one who has an interest in a sound; well constructed motor yacht. The entire boat has been professionally refurbished to a standard that now makes it an easily maintained craft. This traditional Motor Cruiser started life in America built by Owens in approx 1970. And was powered by twin Mercruisers. It was transported to the Med and then on to England in the early 80's with no engines. As mentioned above the present owner bought the vessel in 1982 and spent the next 4 years rebuilding her with the best materials and feel the boat is now stronger than when she was first built because the whole vessel is now glued together and all the frames are west system filleted to the planking and all replaced planking was glued in as well as fastened with bronze screws and fastenings.
The new deeper keel was made from laminated Iroko and fitted from the chine level of the stem to the after end of the bathing platform. After fitting the keel with 18mm stainless steel bolts the keel was encapsulated with West system sheathing and then a further Iroko wearing strip fitted. This vessel has been a good family boat one that has been enjoyed for 25 years. She has proven herself as a good sound sea worthy boat which has brought the family through some bad weather at times. With the bow thrusters and the twin screw it is easy to put her anywhere you want and to take her out single-handed is not a problem. Current owner's family have flown the nest and with other commitments the vessel needs a new owner. Remarks
Ideally suited to cruise the Solent, South Coast of UK, Europe, coast hopping around the Med, or for simply taking the family out on the water.
